Book Club: “All Art is Ecological” by Timothy Morton

For our first Book Club after the summer break, we'll be talking about "All Art is Ecological" by philosopher Timothy Morton. This short work explores the strangeness of living in an age of mass extinction, and shows us that emotions and experience are the basis for a deep philosophical engagement with ecology.

We'll also discuss our shortlist of books for future month's meetings, so do come along if you'd like to have your say. To suggest a book for inclusion on the shortlist, please post in the Book Club whatsapp group before Friday September 5th.

Timothy Morton is Rita Shea Guffey Professor of English at Rice University. His other books include "Humankind: Solidarity with Non-Human People", "Being Ecological" and "Hell: In Search of a Christian Ecology".

Book Club takes place on the second Wednesday of the month. All are welcome to attend, but please come having read the text.
