You will be friendly, team-oriented, flexible and adaptable to changing schedules, comfortable working in a community space and have a genuine alignment with our values and world view.
Events Staff
Central London, Shift Work
We are always looking for organised, sociable people with experience of hospitality or catering to join our team providing in-venue support during our events.
Duties include preparing the space for events, welcoming guests at the door, serving drinks and food, preparing and managing guests lists, clearing away and closing down the venue after events, and other practical tasks as may be necessary throughout the course of the evening. This is paid shift work and days and times will vary.
Other Ways to Get Involved
Speak at Kairos
We’re always looking for speakers with interesting things to say about any of the questions listed on our home page or other issues we may have overlooked.
Contribute ideas
Let us know if you have ideas for events, speakers or collaborations or any other suggestions for how to build and improve the project.
Donate stuff and skills
We are currently in need of furniture (armchairs, tables, lamps, curtains, plant pots etc), books for the library that fit within the Kairos programme, fabric and sewing equipment for our sewing club, and kitchen equipment. If you have carpentry or other practical skills, and some free time, we’d love your help constructing shelves and a bar.
Spread the word
Tell sympathetic friends and colleagues about us, sign up to and forward on our email newsletter and share our posts on WhatsApp and Instagram.
Donate to our crowdfunder
We have a small start-up grant from The Open Society Foundations, but in order to keep events affordable, and to develop the project, we need to raise some additional funds. If you’d like to support us you can donate via our Chuffed crowdfunder or email us.
To contact us about any of the above, or anything else, please email events@kairos.london
